Kaerro provides a vendor‑neutral edge overlay for mammography. Our small‑form hardware kit (NUC/Jetson class) runs local inference on DICOM images, producing PR/SEG overlays, heatmaps and density classes (C/D) for decision support. Outputs can optionally be exported as PDF or JSON.

Edge Kit

Small‑form device with Smart Sync™ and a secure queue for DICOM ingest and results export.

PACS Round‑Trip

Overlay objects (PR/SEG) are written back to PACS; JSON and PDF exports enable audit and secondary review.

Monitoring

Uptime, throughput and threshold metrics are recorded to support triage and operational oversight.

Workflow

  1. Ingest: Mammography studies (DICOM) are sent to the Kaerro edge node via C‑STORE or DICOMweb STOW. No PHI leaves the site.
  2. Analyse: The local model infers density (BI‑RADS C/D), generates attention maps and identifies salient regions. Thresholds are configurable to triage studies.
  3. Return Results: Presentation States (PR) and/or Segmentation objects (SEG) are written back to PACS. Clinicians can view heatmaps and structured summaries within their standard workflow.
  4. Review & Export: JSON summaries containing study ID, density class, BI‑RADS‑style category, findings and notes can be exported for research or quality programmes.
